Looking for a Pocket alternative for Chrome?
Mozilla announced that Pocket would shut down on July 8, 2025. Its current support page says Pocket services have shut down. If you are choosing another tool, first decide whether you need a simple saved link, a reading library, or a reminder-driven workflow.
See Mozilla's product announcement for the announced date and its current Firefox help page for the shutdown status.
Start with the job you need done
- Keep a few links: Chrome bookmarks can save and organize pages without adding another service.
- Keep reading material: compare current read-later and bookmark tools on their supported browsers, import/export options, and privacy terms.
- Remember a next step: use a task or calendar reminder and include the page URL in its notes.
Where Tabrevo fits—and where it does not
Tabrevo is being built around saving Chrome pages with a note, project organization, and optional reminders. Its core workflow is local by default; account sync, AI, and calendar integration are opt-in. Tabrevo does not currently provide Pocket account migration, and its Chrome Web Store launch is pending. It is not available for public installation yet.
That means Tabrevo may be relevant if you want to track why a saved page matters and when to revisit it, but it cannot currently replace an active Pocket account or import a Pocket archive for you.
Before moving services: check whether you have a local export of your Pocket saves and whether the service you choose supports importing it. Do not assume a replacement can recover an old account.
